The goal of this project was to convert a high volume thru-hole circuit board to surface mount components. This conversion would facilitate more efficient assembly and allow for a smaller final product. The customer had already taken a significant number of orders for these boards, so the challenge was to complete the redesign and a production run in time to fulfill these orders.

Our innovative CAN Bus design was given top honors as a cover story in the trade publication Microwave Journal. This design was done for a customer who has since spawned over 30 other designs based upon this new approach. These designs have earned them new capabilities as well as new customers. Laritech currently produces all of these products for them on a turnkey basis allowing them to focus on what they do best.

Tactical Electronics requires rapid design, prototyping and assembly to meet the ever changing needs of our military and police forces. In a matter of a week, Laritech was able to design, build and write software for the first prototype.

Making steam from water requires a lot of current, and switching a lot of current makes a lot of noise for low voltage electronics. Throw in an RF remote control and you begin to see the design issues we overcame to make the worlds first and only high end RF controlled steam bath. When we say high end we mean that your shower is tricked out with a CD player, speakerphone, mood lights and proportionally controlled steam (time & temperature). Each feature is sold separately and the unit self-configures itself and the RF remote accordingly. This was by far our favorite design to field test.

We now design and manufacture a few products that we sell under the Laritech name. Our first design was a 12 volt power supply used by the hobby industry to eliminate the need for a clunky 12V lead acid battery. Our latest design is a multi-zone thermostat for the radiant heating industry. We use these designs to actively explore various distribution channels so that we may aid you in bringing your product to market.
